I have a set of Spierre fiberglass blades I'm trying to insert into brand new Pathos Fireblade footpockets. It's tougher than any other blades I've tried to assemble. Seems the Spierre's might be to wide. I had to cut the heel of the blade a 1/4" after measuring carefully the inside depth of the foot pocket.

Was wondering if setting the footpocket in the sun first would maybe help?

Or, is there a max width to which the Pathos Fireblade pockets will go?

I have a set of carbon fiber Spierres and Pathos footpocket. I havn't been able to install the footpockets properly. It's like I can't fit the blade deep enough into the foot pocket. Also I kinda messed up the gluing so I need to do that all over again with proper glues and such.

Part 2.

My problem with Spierre and Pathos has been simple. The tongue of the blade is few centimetres too long. The blade angle doesn't line up with the footpocket. I need to trim the blade tongue a bit and then it'll be good.

Now I just need to trim(ruin) perfectly good carbon fibre fin blades. Wish me luck!

You should contact Pierre Liebenberg on facebook, he makes the spierre fins and Iam sure he would be able to help out. I just ordered a set of carbon spierre blades and told him I will be using pathos fireblade foot pockets, he told that he will adjust my blades accordingly to make a perfect fit for the pathos.

use some soap so the blade can slip into place
