Yes, I have the Spekter and its a very accurate gun

good value for money, but if u can afford an RA, go for that instead :)

i was actually conisdering buying a ra sparid. good value for money but the handle doesnt suit my hand =( bummer

Have mostly heard terrible things. Adrenaline were recently dumping the last of their Pelaj guns extraordinarily cheaply. Not a good sign.

DivingDane: Do you have some first-hand accounts?

I had an issue with the shooting mechanism.....but that was rectified when i contacted pelaj and a second gen replacement mech was sent out free of charge

Pelaj/Aquastralis definitely have a rep for great customer service when it comes to faulty equipment, but unfortunately also have a rep for faulty equipment!

I recommend edge guns for reliable, cheap guns with a great reputation. I think he is cheaper than his website suggests too, so it is best to call Tony and discuss prices.

I would hold off the extra little while and purshase something with better ergonomics(handle angle and shape are all wrong IMHO)

Guns from ORCA, OMER, CRESSI are all better options in my opinion much better build quality and handles are much nicer as well (ORCA and CRESSI are the same gun) however my choice would be to get and omer Cayman, truely sexxy gun and probably the most comfortable and accurate handle/mech available at the moment.

The 1st gen mechs on most pelaj guns have had issues, I have a 2nd gen mech on my Kanji, i load it up with 3x16mm bands and have had no issues.

Pelaj are releasing a totally revised handle on to the market this year.

I own a typhoon as well as a kanji and a sabre and for the money they are very cheap gun, very accurate, great colour, powerful bands and very very strong spear. The Typhoon is Ideal for reef work, i would feel comfortable takin 15kg fish on the standard set-up. Other than the mech issue I cant say that I have had any issues with the guns, I landed a 10kg grouper on my 90cm typhoon last week.
