Hi all,
This wetsuit, among other items, are now up for sale upon completing production of the newest freediving movie "The Greater Meaning of Water"

This is the actual PFD team suit worn by the actor. It differs from the suits currently available on the PFD webstore. This is the actual silver and gold teamsuit, rather than the black and gold. It is in great shape but has had a small repair by the manufacturer on the hood (does not affect usability)

jeeeez 440 USD for the wetsuit???

The materials alone cost $460 on this version of the suit. But I hear its the best freediving wetsuit money can buy.

SL

FreeDiving wetsuits are made from high performance materials and are generally unlike the scuba counterparts. 440 USD is pretty reasonable for the performance suits that PFI produce - although there are cheaper manufacturers out there.

Right thanks... :( perhaps i'll get one on next years budget...

I can get you a suit for about £160 - PM if you are interested, they are perfectly good for what you are up to.

I'm also thinking about selling my 5ml smoothskin - not sure if we are the same size but if so that might be an even cheaper option for you

I think Elios are even cheaper, and they're supposed to be some of the best.

really??? PM on the wayyy

that was for an Elios suit... price depends a bit on the neoprene you choose.

I couldn't be bothered with converting dollars to pounds and I don't actually remember their price. :)
What neopren is it? heiwa/yamamoto or freedown? or do they have a new expensive one already?

As far as materials go, you can get Elios suits with Yamamoto neoprene which is same as what the freeology and PFD suits use. I have the Elios in Heiwa wich have better compression resistance and durabillity. More important is the price, specially when here in Australia our dollar doesn't get as very far. A custom made Elios suit costs me about half of what a PFD suit does and about 1/3 of a freeology one ! :)

Cheers,
Wal

Guys,

You also have another option for Custom Made Wetsuits.
Its MAREA from Italy. They made excellent wetsuits and you also have a big number of options and materials. Check their website or send me a PM I am the exclusive dealer in USA so I will be glad to send you details.

Regards

Ivan

Oh come on!!

let the guy to sell his wetsuit, if you don't like the price or anything else just don't post.

Looks like an interesting movie! As a prop the suit has value beyond just being a wetsuit.

FYI - I have two elios suits and they are wonderful! I bought one of their 'off the shelf' 3 mil plush lined suits - but they had me send my measurements anyway - Elios version of 'off the shelf' or 'premade' - is oddly similar to custom fitted! I also have a 5mil 'black shadow' suit which is extremely warm. I've been using the 3 mil since the water here hit about 50f.
This is my daughter in her 'premaid' and very inexpensive Elios suit.
