I have a mask which the glass has come out of.
There is no sign of any bonding material like silicon so my question is how is/was the glass bonded to the silicon or rubber etc. ???

I want to bond it back in with a good silicon that came with my new bathroom sink and I am not too fussed if it fails but if there is a particular method I can use to fix it or how it was done originally I am interested!

Hi Omega3, I recently fixed my Omer Alien mask & wrote a thread on it. The mask appears to be ok now although I haven't used it at sea since fixing it - I was planning to try it in the pool first. The lens in the Alien appears to be held in by the hard plastic frame and the soft silicone flange, in which it sits - no glue/sealer/etc. as far as I can tell. I heated the platic frame with hot water (from the hot tap/fawcett & kettle) to maximize the size of the hole and temporarily soften the frame, then pushed the lens back in.

This post summarizes what I did: http://forums.deeperblue.com/774202-post5.html
Whether this will help fix your mask is another matter. Your mileage may vary...
