My eyes are getting worse so i may have to move onto perscription lenses do you guys know if cressi or any other brands do some sought of perscription for your masks, or does the optomitrist do all that for you:confused:

Lenses

Hi Nath,

In my experience, the opticians may be able to sell you a mask. However, the one mine offered was of quite a high volume (i.e. 'scuba mask'.

Many manufacturers offer 'prescription lenses' built into their retail masks. These tend to be simple spherical lenses that are not suitable for people with astigmatism.

If you have a complex prescription (I have astigmatism and prisms, for example) I believe that the best way to go may be to have lenses cemented into your existing mask. You can also wear certain types of contacts (although you will have to hope your mask doesn't flood).

The best thing is to visit your optometrist and ask their opinion.
