Well I made it back.. been a little busy but here are some photos.
The air in Kabul is very thin (2000m above sea level) and also 20% of the air is human excrement. I did the fitness test at camp and i am still coughing up phlem. :yack

Kabul is in a valley and is on both sides of the mountain where the Taliban used to be based. In some photos you can see a mosque. Opposite that mosque is a football stadium, where they used to behead people not so very long ago...

At the top of the hill (its know as TV hill as all the antennas are up there) there is a small police station. The young policeman who approached us HAD to hold my hand in the photo... the expression on his face was classic!

nah.... the guys are required to do a fitness test as part of the standard of service we provide. They have to meet the requirements in order to fit the bill!
i took part as a moral effort :D

Island, I don't mean to sound ignorant but I would like to know more about your trip to this place. What were you doing there and how long were you there? Just a vacation? Myself and several others viewing your pictures want to hear more..... if you want to tell. :)

I went over for work.. I work in the risk management business and we have a couple of projects over there.

Its really sad to see the state of the Afghani people. They are so poor and still seem to live in fear. It is amazing to see how happy the children where though, still smiling and running around.. and they have nothing.

Little kids in poor countries are good role models for the rest of us. Anywhere I've been it's the same. We should put them in charge for a few thousand years and see how that turns out.
Peace,
Erik Y.
