I recently purchased a Picasso Top 50 Reel, to replace my Omer match sport reel which I didn't think much of. In the Pics the top reel looks great and is well priced to.

When the product arrived, I was even more impressed. The stainless parts are thick and some plastic parts have been machined. The main section is much more solid than any other reel i have used. This reel is of very strong construction. So far i would say this is by far the most solid/quality reel i have personally seen. I have been disappointed in the past buy the flimsyness of the other euro reels i have used.

I am using it on an airgun, but it could be easily attached to a timber gun due to its large flat stainless base, in fact I would highly recommend it for a timber gun.

See some pics below.

Hi Gazz,
The reel does indeed look sturdy and well made. I have been disappointed by my fancy Omer One 50 reel. Especially the brake on it is not thought out too well. It is either fully locked or fully freewheeling within less than a quarter of a turn of the knob. Not cool for adjusting it to that sweet spot where it holds the line in place but can still be pulled out without too much force. How is the Picasso in that regard?

I also didnt like the one reel (although it is better than other omer reels),
I have only use the reel on i dievb trip an it was the best reel i have used, good release, light in water and easy to control.
