Pismo Beach, CA?

Might be going up to Pismo Beach to see some friends for Labor Day and was wondering if anyone knows of a good spot to spear? It might be a nice change from the biker bars...
 
The visability in that area is generally bad , average 5ft or less. There are a few halibut to be found but the biker bars may be more entertaining:fridayIf the vis looks divable you can go down the stairs in front of the shorecliff hotel. Good luck !
