I am thinking about vacation, and spearfishing in tropical waters. It has to be warm water, where fish is plenty and spearfishing allowed. So, basically Turks and Caicos, Roatan, Cayman Islands etc is out of question. Thinking about checking out Bahamas. I heard Mexico is great place, I haven't been there in almost 30 years. I've been to Greece and might go there again. Thailand, again maybe? How about Cambodia, anybody been there? What else? What is on your list?

I fish quite a bit lately, last four years I am in the water almost every other day. But it is cold here in coastal BC, and I keep dreaming about places where water does not hurt, where my lips are not blue and fingertips are not numb.

Its hard to beat Baja. You can spend a lot of money to go more exotic places, but you will find more species in the Sea of Cortez than just about anywhere.

it has always been my dream to spearfish in the remote atolls of french polynesia for pelagic fish. I actually have the money saved already for it...but nobody wants/can go.

then new zealand for bluefin tuna is my second choice

Acention island is on my list. I hear the tuna game is insane there.

but in terms of what doesn't cost a King's ransom.. Costa Rica for yellowfin would be amazing.

Or the offshore oil rigs out of Texas. Big wahoo. Supposed to be a real rodeo.
