Right, my friend and I are totally new to spearfishing and want to find some good places around the Llyn to go hunt out some bass etc!

I know the area pretty well as I've been snorkling round there for years, although I've never ventured out too deep as I've always been on my own (and I'm a bit of a wimp  ).

Anyway, my buddy and I are super keen! We've got all the kit and are ready to go!

Without any advice I'd go down to Porth Ceiriad to hunt out some flatties (and to get used to the new gun!) then head off to Porth Iago to go round the rocks and maybe Porth Dinllaen for some more rock action. Does that sound any good?

As I said, I've spent a lot of time snorkling etc but I don't want to head out too, too deep as we're both inexperienced spearfishermen!

If anyone can give some advice it would be massivley appreciated!

All the best,

Mike
