Places to stay in Dubai?

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.

Martin and I, and the kids are hoping to go to Dubai for Christmas and New Year this year - 23/12 -3/1. Sorting our flights out is not a problem, but, as we haven't been to Dubai before, we have no idea where to stay.

We're thinking probably be better to stay near to/in the town so we have things on our doorstep and things for the kids to do (they're 15 and 12). Self catering apartment so needs to be fully equipped, minimum 2 bedrooms.

Anyone have any suggestions? :t

i liked jumeirah city very much, although i stayed at the emirates towers... i think sands would be the most qualified to answer you on this one though...
