Right all.. im the adventurous type and havnt been away for a couple of years so thought i should make some plans and start saving.. basically im looking for ideas on a holiday possibly for me alone or with one or two friends too, i live in the UK so getting out of the country is a must, id love to throw in some spearing and diving in beautiful scenery and all your usual sights and sounds.. ideally i'd like a holiday off the beaten track and away from the mainstream of tourists if you get what i mean. Anyway money as always is an issue and obviously i'd like to spend as little as possible. Other than that anything goes, i must confess to having a real soft spot to being left to fend for myself on a proper deserted island or something equally different! so please input ideas or advice and if possible ideas of prices so i can start planning. Oh and if you live in a remote part of the world with your own desert island then please post!
Cheers
Joe

Okay Joe,

I have mind blowing idea for you, would you like to go spearing and fishing to a place where no spearo has been before, loads of fish and other critters to eat, with luck some King-crabs (sized like your kitchen table) and beatiful untouched scenery all around.. al you have to worry is wolves and bears that might have some interest in your catch?

If I have waken your intrest then just start looking at Summer holiday in Russia, just go to the very north of the russian border up to the sea there put your gear into a canoe and start paddling, hopefully you start bit further east than the Finnish border where the acid rain might melt your gear and bleach your hair, but as you venture deeper east you'll find the most beatiful scenery and places where man has not yet spoiled the natural balance of the ecosystem and robbed the sea from all living things and.. well you know what i mean.. how about that? just get going and I am sure you'll have an adventure, prices are not bad at all! travelling up from St Petersburg by train (if you are not robbed) should cost you no more than 20£ and you'll end up having money to spend on dry food and all other stuff that you might want to take with, dpending on your confidence about your spearing skill.. perhaps Fish all day everyday, perhaps some tree bark and berries on the side...

Adventure guaranteed!

you asked for it!

Mmmmm now you have got me thinking!! A little cold up that way but yes, tempted indeed something i might be forced to look into, wonder if i could hire a 4x4 and boat/kayak... ooooo the mind is ticking.
Cheers

I think after all the dangers and...well insurance..dont even think about it, but it could be a trip you like if you just love the outdoors and keep to the safe places on your way up there.. and get all your gear there intact... could be good, could be sunny..
