Carlos Coste and Freedive Central invite you to win a pair of 85 carbon blades from CARBONTEK.

World record Holder Carlos Coste is now in Egypt preparing for his next attempts. His aim is to beat the actual world records in Free Immersion and Variable weight held by his rival the Tcheck multi world record holder Martin Stepanek.

The attempt will take place from 9th to 14th of may 2006.

Check the rules, play and win the carbons here:

Good luck !!

Hi all,

Please don't forget to mention you FC login/account when you send your email..

Carbon blades from Carbontek are waiting for you!

Don't Forget to Vote!! :)

The points are really badly calculated!!! :rcard
http://www.freedivecentral.com/retoenelabismo.php?id=71

You can't just sum the two bets.
If I had said 2'14" for variable weight and 6'28" for free immersion, I would have won with a total of 8'42" but my bets would have been crap.

The results should be calculated in another way.

I suggest to take the difference between real and predicted performance.

Points=|guess - realperformance|(fim) + |guess-realperformance|(variable)

( where |a|=abs(a) )

The guy who win is the one who has the smallest score.

This way Talbot Adrien and Toledo Tiago have much better score than Andres Alejandro. And that sounds fair because there bets are much better.

Talbot and Toledo have the best score of 8 points, ex aequo.

Both of them should win carbontek fins :D

Ocean men, there is a mistake in the results...I said 4:12 for Variable and 4:27 for free inmersion, the web master put them wrong...
That is why i won, the results are changed...

Hello Ocean man...:inlove

That is a good point. The rules are not perfect and can always be improved.

And they will. We will have MANY occasions of doing it better because we will very regularly organise this kind of games and make freedivers happy with all kind of nice stuff to win.

But Ocean man...this time Alejandro Andres won and he will playing with his fins very sooooon.

Well done Andres, you were indeed very close to the real dive times ! Please tell us how the fins perform when you test them.

I was just pointing out that with this way of calculation, you could have been beaten by a guy with less good guesses. It would have been unfair.

Glad to hear that there will be more stuff to win on FC. Hope to be a winner once. :p
