Hey guy sorry to ask another question but if spearing in a private lake do you still have to follow the regulations on taking certain fish or can I shoot any of them since it is private? Please help and reply and thank you for helping!

"Permitted Nonhook Methods
Certain species in designated waters may be taken by the use of bow, crossbow, gig, atlatl, snare or by underwater spearfishing, snagging or grabbing. However, game fish not hooked in the mouth or jaw must be returned to the water unharmed immediately, except paddlefish legally taken during the paddlefish snagging season. All of the above methods of taking fish are considered sport fishing methods." Spearfishing is Legal in "Impounded waters and temporary overflow of a river or ditch..." In Missouri, nongame fish include bluegill, green sunfish, carp, carpsuckers, suckers, buffalo, drum, gar and all other species other than those defined as game fish or listed as endangered. http://mdc.mo.gov/fishing
So, make yourself familiar with identifying these legal species and don't dive alone!
