Wotcha all. My partner and I have just done an AIDA course with the excellent

Freedive UK « ...Aida Freediving school Cornwall Freedive UK

Due to equalisation problems we both unable to get past 4m so we didn't manage the two star. We're still keen though, just need the depth practice. Ideally I'd like to use the local dive pool but I'm not sure they would be that keen :(

If anyone fancies checking out some local sites and needs a buddy then drop me a PM. Have kayak will travel :D

Hi cave_raver,

I am also a beginner free diver and I actually had real issues equalizing while being in the sea yesterday! Really disappointing as I finally got a proper mask and fins 2 weeks ago and finally managed to go down properly beeing relaxed for the first time since starting to "kinda" free dive.

I found this post here my Kars which explains a lot and gives great advice how to tackle equalization problems: http://forums.deeperblue.com/equalisation/94865-problems-equalizing-left-ear.html#post880318

there is also a series of utube vids mentioned in this thread: Boat Fishing • View topic - Having problems equalizing? Check this...

Hope this helps and good luck to you :)
