Hi Ya all!!!

I've have not been able to dive for 2 months now due to Band practice and made me started working on my gun Cam mount. Nothing special about it, very simple and it only cost me $5.00. I know there are lots of experts here who have professionally done impressive mounts as i have seen in other threads but could you please comment on my design coz i still dont have time to test it in water. I'm still very much interested in improving it.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers:friday

Elvis

Pneumatic REI mini tripod Cam Mount

I use an REI mini tripod. I had to use some soft rubber or silicon sheet to prevent it from slipping/shifting.

I normally have my light strapped to my gun. The light is on top of the barrel for the picture. I normally have it on the left side of the barrel.

Very neat set-up you have mate. How do you aim at your target with the camera? Do you use the light with the camera for clearer video? I'm new to spearguns so my aiming is still like a hand gun.

Thanks for the reply:friday

I use the light for looking into rocks and crevasses. Our average visibility is less than 15 feet. When diving kelp if the vis is good, I will replace the light with the camera. I normally have the camera on my kayak or boogie board with a leash that I slip my hand through. When strapped to the gun, the camera is up high enough to view the LCD screen and the front of the gun. The average shot with the gun in our area is about 2-4 feet anyway, so not much sighting required.
