Hiya there,
I'm still a newbie regaring spearfishing, I mean I occasionally go down with my beuchat cavalero (beginner's gun) However, I am considering in the near future to get a better gun. I only hunt where I live ...Malta that is: the mediterranean and since I don't dive the deep blue, I was wondering about whether a pneumatic or another better band gun. I know pneumatics are affected by pressure, but that's not a high priority - just enough power till 20-30 feet depth would be sufficient.
What I would like to know are basically three things - 1) average range to be expected by a pneumatic. 2) Do pneumatics give a lot of trouble in the long run ex: air tight seals, triggers, etc.... and 3) Are they hard to load when compared to a band gun (comparing a 90cm barrel with a single pair of 19mm rubber)
Any other info greatly appreciated before deciding on whether a pneumatic or band gun.
Thanks
