My buddy tells me that when Im diving down my back and legs arch backwards and I go down on an angle. I presume this is because my weights on my belt are from my sides to the back.
What is the correct positioning of weights on a belt?

I like mine to be as much out on the hips as possible. I usually use 4*2kg weights and have two on each side of the hips. This keeps the weight off my lower back and away from the most "bendy" area on my abdomen as I duck dive. Since there's just as much weight on both sides of the hips it doesn't make me lean or drift to one side.

Thanks! When I dive tomorrow I'll re adjust them to just the side of my hips and see if that works.

Try to get some weight of your hips and into a backpack, or better still a neck weight. a 1.5Kg neck weight is tiny but still helps a lot.

If you insist on putting it all on your weight belt then it should be as evenly distributed as possible.

Learning a good duck dive will keep the rest of your dive straighter too: most crooked dives start with a bad duckdive.

a month of good weight distributed on both sides of the hip, it's good to use a neckweigth!!

Thanks everyone. Displaced the weight side of my hips and which seemed to work for me. My legs and back did not arch backwards as before. Thanks

Arching the back usually comes from looking at the bottom. Baaaad habbit. hard to brake.
