I have lately problems with my sinuses.

But long time ago I heard about a solution that you make from salt and sodium carbonate...and just inject it into the sinuses.

I just don't know the concentration

can you help me please?

Sorry, didn't see this thread.

Simple way - around a teaspoon of salt dissolved in a glass of lukewarm water that has been already boiled (to get rid of any bugs) or use bottled water. Warm enough so it doesn't shock your nasal passages but not too warm or they'll be burnt. Taste the solution and it should taste just a little bit salty, not too salty. Doesn't matter either way, it's just that a weak salt solution will be the most neutral and won't hurt when you snort it.

Lean over a sink and snort the solution up your nose (press one nostril shut if it's easier and do one at a time) and let it drain out your mouth. If the solution concentration is right, you won't feel any irritation.

There is a product called NeilMed Medi Rinse which is a small bottle with a spout which is brilliant to use, very easy. It comes with sachets of powder which is a mix of sodium chloride and Sodium Bicarbonate, not sure of the ratio but it looks more salt than bicarb (80/20 maybe?). They cost around £15 and you can order on their website if you can't buy them in your country.

I've heard the NeilMed product is the same type of thing as a neti pot which yogi's use.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,
Ben
