I've seen a Riffe version that had to be ballasted to get it to float right but never did it myself. How much weight and how should I position it?

The leash doesn't seem to clip into the nose properly. Am I supposed to tie off to the nose and then clip to myself somehow? I'd also like to rig up a small weight to use as anchor in case I'm diving the same spot for awhile. Anyone done this?

I'm planning to try it out in the morning but won't be using it for spearing if that matters. Thanks for any reccommendations.
