I tell you what - nephews dont forget. the deal was 600usd for the their 16th birthday - and he wanted that drum kit.

2 years later, his brother (who never emails me or calls, EVER) emailed me to remind me that he was turning 16, and that I owe him the 600$. however, being that inflation has an influence on everything in life, he sent me a list of parts to build his computer, including a link where I could pay by credit card and just get it shipped to him direct, amounting to 900usd!! :crutch

I'm an aunt too - and my nephew is just as spoilt but he's only 3 so it's not quite as expensive yet

So far I have forked out for a Playmobil lifeboat and helicopter set (hours of fun, even if you are not 3) and for his first set of snorkel,mask,fins (still unused!!)

Hey it was actually my brother who suggested the drums. they built him a sound proof music room, i guess it was one way to get the kids outta your hair rofl

I know what you mean... our dive guide thought that he could ATTRACT them by shaking the snot out of his shaker (rattle).... :duh <SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE> and they were all gone I DID manage to get a 30 second video of a 2 meter white tip coming in to take a look and then leaving <SHAKE SHAKE SHAKE> You can hear it just a bit over the bubbles :vangry

A sound-proof room is a great idea! You could make all kinds of noises in there and never get caught..... rofl rofl
