My wife and I live on our 37' ketch, we're planning on doing some sailing this weekend and mooring up at horseshoe cove on the north side of the golden gate. i'm planning on running out to pt bonita in my inflatable and dropping a few crab pots out there on saturday morning. just wondering if anyone has dove out there. its going to be really calm, hopefully. I know there is a ton of current out there, and i'm not sure if there's any kelp.
anyways, just wondering if anyone wants to meet up at the presidio marina and head out there with me and look for some fish.

so, I went out in the dinghy to drop a few crab pots out there and had a look around. no kelp really, a ton of current, and hundreds of seals and sea lions. so, without a buddy, i didn't dive, but i think it would be a questionable place to spend much time in the water. even on a calm day like saturday there was chop from the current going in and out.
has anyone ever done any diving out there?
