Query of Fluid Goggles

With the fluid goggles, i was wondering what strength lens like (+2 or +4 lenses) would you have to use? If you had normal eyesight. Would it make a diiference if you had short/long sighted eyes?
I am 17 and got my open water diver license last year. scuba in NZ is shithouse!! been in like 7degree water (celcius). with like 1m vis. Lots of crayfish tho. Cheers.

It doesn't work that way. The short answer is...... it takes a lense of greater than +50.

If you use a lens made of stock plastic, the power would have to be more than +200D, which means that the lens would be tiny and almost round.

It makes no difference if you are nearsighted or not. What matters is the axial length of your eyeball. This value can vary from one person to another, even in opposition to nearsightedness. i.e. although a nearsighted person is generally though of having a longer eyeball, this is not always the case.
