I just bought a pair or cressi gara 3000, i upgraded from a 30 dollar pair of body glove fins. the main notice i had is in the diffrence in stiffness. Is this something I'm gunna just have to get used to, or am I doing something wrong?

You are not doing anything wrong.

You'll get used to them eventually. After a while you will feel the benefits of long fins and won't want to go back! Are they LD or HF 3000s?? The HFs are stiffer and probably better for ascending from a deep dive, and the LDs excel if you do a lot of travelling on the surface and shallow work due to the softer blade. I use Gara 2000LD fins (I think they are no longer made) which took a while to get used to but now I hardly know they are on my feet in the water.

Modern gara footpockets are ace IMHO!!:)

Yes you will get used to it. I used to think my OMER Ice fins were stiff, but now when I wear my scuba fins, I think 'why are they so powerless?'

dont worry it's perfectly normal happens to everyone i think im in the wrong forum

I just got some new Cressi Gara professionals. When I compared to the 2000s and 3000s I noticed that the Pros are way more flexible.

Personally for Dynamic, doing the dolphin kick, I like them better than the pair of 3000s I borrowed the week before from another freediver at the pool. The pros don't seem to need quite as much strength (energy) to use and they seem to be easier on my ankles as well.

Has anyone else compared the pros to the other Gara's? What do you think about the difference in stiffness?
