Mahogany Wood DIY question????

I was lucky enough to come across some really nice Mahogany slats
1/2"x 3" x 6ft.

I have never made a speargun before and was not planning on it either but since the wood is free i thought I would have some fun.

Will this wood work?

How many 1/2" thick slats will I need to Lam together for a nice 4 band mid handle gun?

What type of resin or bonding agent should I use?

I guess i should get this far first before I ask any more questions.

I will be using an aftermarket triggermech and handle.

Is there a "Speargun building guide for dummies?"

good luck

Joel
