here's my solution for mounting an Ikelite housing for a Canon SD 780 IS powershot. 1/8 inch white oak laminates steam bent in a plywood form, then laid up with west system epoxy. Pieces all held together with epoxy, secured to the gun with brass threaded inserts used for knock down cabinetry. Seems to work. looks like I need a green filter.

Looks very nice but won`t the speargun be unbalanced considering you got added weight on just one side?
Or does your camera, including underwater housing, have neutral bouncy?

hello Sailfishx......The camera is neutral bouyent and dosnt seem to throw off the balance of the gun. I can still aim and shoot one handed shots with out any noticable torque or weight difference in the gun. It does have more resistance moving through the water, but this hasen't been a problem as I am most often lying on the bottom in wait for a fish, and do not need the streamlining so much.
Cheers
