how do you shorten circular skrew in euro bands? is it evan possible? i think my bands are too long by a few inchs and was wondering if i could do it with out buying new ones.

A few inches?? That is very long but you can shorten them by cutting the wishbone end and tying in a whshbone designed for bulk rubber or even better use a dyneema one, there instructions by way of pictures here use the galeria de imagens link at the bottom of the page
 
Hiya

If you want to keep the articulated wishbone, get a set of these:

Simply cut off the screw in wish bone, shorten to desired length, then tie the new wishbone in.

Using dyneema wishbone is much safer on your hands, but does require the shaft notch's to be smoothed/polished, so as to remove the sharp edges that'll destroy your dyneema wishbone.
