was out there in the same area sunday vis was very poor came out like you worked very hard for some snappers,yellow jacks, and a spanish mack.

yep them YJ are common but its the mules (20+lbs) I like fletching, i have this one spot that always treats me right.

I was so close...... soo close. If you see him before I do check out his lower rear dorsal, if I would have pushed myself a bit harder or had my other gun..... *sigh*

Did you ever have a shot on him? I never seen one that big man, I thought it was fake from the surface.... I had about a 12ft shot and didn't make it :head. As far as that gag in the bay.... I think he has a bigger brother? lol

The first time I saw him the viz was milky and I thought (for a milli sec.) it was a cuban king, if I would of not hesitated that split sec. I would have strung him, from then on I've seen him about 3-4 times but i haven't had a secured shot. One thing about me is on a nice trophy fish I try not to take a shot unless I'm comfy with it, I'd hate to see a fish of that caliber be consumed by the ocean...my farters got about 12', maybe 14' of range so that is my limit, next time I'm thinking of taking one of my custom guns, its all zap up to 20'-25', that should throw a curve ball into that Mofo's game plan.
