Unfortunately there are more sad news today again. We lost another freediver (and a spearfisher). This time in Australia, Greg Couldwell perished in a freediving accident off Moreton Island.

Ben Noble (BennyB) speaks in the video too. He and other australian freedivers are certainly under a shock right now, but I hope Ben will comment later. Perhaps we can all learn something, and try better avoiding such accidents. In the video they tell Greg went diving with a group of experienced freedivers, but from what I understood it did not look like a line training.

My condolences to the family and friends

He was a valued member of our club both in terms of the expertise he brought and his beautiful nature. I know we always say 'Oh he was a lovely guy" but Greg was truly a wonderful man. He will be greatly missed.

Very sad news :-( my condolences to family and friends

Condolences to all who knew Greg, a terrible loss at 32.

MY thoughts are with Ben and Gavin too.

Lets not try and be analytical at the moment, a time and a place eh guys.

My condolences...

Are there any more details? Blackout at 20M? That's the depth I'm training on. And I am far from "expert". I am now going to hold back. It got me scared.

RIP Greg.
