Getting a Ra Scorpia 750 , just want to know more about it ,?vis in Wellington is great on some days but mostly it's average 3-4m . Would this be able to take down a 15kg kingi if I come across one? Or would it be too weak. The muzzle is only fitted for one band so don't know if an 16mm or even 18mm would be suitable for the bigger fish . I was thinking of changing the muzzle to maybe a dual band muzzle but would it be over powered n inaccurate for the 750? Or even install a roller? Maybe if I just use this 750 for smaller fish ? Not sure but any info is helpful. Cheers

Get yourself at least an 1100 mate or you may be very dissapointed the first time you try to bang one of those kingies. It is possible but you would have to be very patient, lucky & very skilled to be able to consistently land fish like that with such a little gun. You will have some very experienced & good spearos around Wellington, what are the ones who regularly landing these fish using?

You don't say what the visibility is. I uses 60 cm Scorpia locally, but visibility is usually <3m.
The gun will take quite large fish, but you will have to get close to them with such a short gun. And, don't bother with changing muzzles. It won't help. Just get close.
I would suggest a 110 or 120 when visibility is better.
