Is there a big difference between the Rabitech stealth and the Apex? I looked on the website and really couldnt find a big difference besides the colors and comfort grip.Does anyone prefer one or the other?
thanks

i have both, not much differences, i guess the apex trigger is a bit more sturdy, in terms of the grip, it depends on your preference, i like the apex a bit more..forum member/moderaor miles is the best mab to give you advice on that stuff, he is the authority on rabitechs,.....

welcome to deeperblue by the way

Apex has a s/steel trigger mech, I think thats about the biggest and most important difference between the two models. But hey which ever one you end up with youll not be disappointed

I got the stealth and love the grip!
I reakon so long as it says rabitech, you got a winner!

Does the Apex have a stronger trigger mech? Is that a big deal?
thanks

Stronger trigger mech = bigger loading capacity.
Not just that, marine grade s/steel tends to last a bit longer than plastic when regularly exposed to saltwater

Well on a 110cm this shouldnt be too much of a problem right? Because thats the size I think im getting..

Nha not really, you wont be putting 3 20mils on there any time soon. Infact my apex 110 has plenty power with a single 20mil rubber on.

At the time I bought my gun the stealth had just come out and the Apex was said to be one of the best and more durable guns on the market. I also liked the look and feel of the ali barrel Apex more than the stealth...

Ones got a ali barrel and the other a carbon barrel with steel rings on the inside
Seriously though, I find the ali barrel a bit heavier than the carbon and prefer the added bit of weight in the barrel, I havent shot the carbon model but I do like the balance of the ali. More weight also means less recoil. Also Im kinda old school so I prefered the ali for this aswell.
Hope that helps

excellent I may end up buying the Apex afterall...probly 100cm-110cm havent decided yet.

Good luck man, you wont go wrong!
i got two 16mm rubbers on my 115 stealth....havnt tested a 20mm rubber but the twin 16's work really well!
enjoy!

anyone know the range on a 100cm stealth/apex with 2x16mm or 1x20mm on it?Now I need to know if theres a big range difference between the two guns b/c if there isnt I will get the smaller gun so I can manuever through the corals.
thanks again

wow thats like 15ft....dam lol The fish I shoot are usually closer than 3m...thing is a cannon compared to my guns.So a 100 will shoot like 3m?

Sounds about rite yea, but the closer the fish the more effective the shot of coarse

A forum member mentioned to me that they found the handle of the Stealth rather large (in fact they changed it). I was surprised as they look smaller than normal to me in the pictures - obviously deceptive. It might be a personal preference/hand size thing though. I find the RA Vecta handle large but comfortable -- the Cressi Commanche handle is much smaller and narrower but still comfortable.
