Went out in the rain on sunday, been stormy lately and I new the water would be dirty, and in these parts dirty water is not all bad as it brings kurodai (2nd and 3rd) fish around.

The fish in japanese from top to bottom

1st Suzuki sea bass
2nd 3rd kurodai sea bream??
4th Ainame English???
5th kobudai English???

All of those fish were taken in fairly shallow water no more than 4m.
it was an easy day lots of fish, I really had one of those days where I could choose which fish I wanted.

The 4th fish, Ainame is huge for that type of fish I've never seen one that big before and he tasted great.

The other photo shows one of my favourite spots, never bothered by other people. And nearly always get a good feed. It has lots of underwater rocky formations (kurodai,Ainame) weedy areas (sea bass. Kurodai) and sandy patches out a bit deeper where I can get flounder.

Wow thats pretty awesome. Ive always wanted to visit Japan. Looks realy beautiful and the fish looked excelent. Good one!

Thanks mate.

The top fish is my prize fish, fight well and taste great. Now the water is warming up different types of fish are starting to come in. Winter fish taste better here if you do sushi or sashimi, but in summer we get lots of variety and great on the BBQ.
