Ramis Spear Gun

Thread Status: Hello , There was no answer in this thread for more than 60 days.
It can take a long time to get an up-to-date response or contact with relevant users.
Had a few requests for a 1 piece handle & guard….Here it is, all stainless steel, weighs approx. 200 gm ( 7 oz.) with the wood plates.

The Ramsis I Speargun has a total length of 127 cm.....with a barrel length of 107 cm.

**Rigging:
- 6.6 mm shaft...140 cm
- 16 mm x 2 bands
- Effective range: 4-5 meters
- Price without Bands & Shaft: US$380
- Delivery Time: 3 weeks
* Choice of wood: Teak, Mahogany or Oak.

I'm purposely selling the gun without bands & shaft since I have to import, pay shipping & import tax then re-export them to you.
This will add substantially to the cost of the gun whereas I'm sure you have numerous manufacturers/outlets close to you with more variety and at reasonable prices.

Another point, the shaft in particular could add substantially to shipping expenses, not due to its weight but rather its length which most express mail companies take in to account, other than weight.

Ihab That just sounds fantastic! I think thats very reasonable compared to other brands, I would recommend that you add some more videos and pics of the gun in action...particularly demonstrating recoil, range, accuracy etc... its always good to see these things, especially that its a new brand and 380$ isnt a small amount
of course i can help with the video once i sign the sponsorship agreement to use your products exclusively
 
Beautiful gun. Smart, also allows customers to get the spears/rubber they prefer. Although, here in the UK (prob. not your main market), it can take a bit research and tracking down to find the parts we want. Often we end up having to import the stuff from elsewhere. Although, as you say, perhaps cheaper for us to import, say, rubber direct from USA.

Brother this is an awesome gun the design of the muzzle i like it i think everyone would like the gun...

I had a wonderful trip with master & commander Ihab and Team Mazameer,,,,,,,, to tell all on this thread.......... guys RAMSIS II is the best gun todate & this is my result as well...... perfect balance, least recoil & as acurate as an eagle powering down on its prey !!! I had to change my profile picture

by the way this is a 25 kg giant trevali

Okay foxfish and everyone interested to know the details, well to tell you the truth it was almost a bad day. We commenced by gathering on a rented boat with its less skilled skipper & 1 crew member who was handling all the work. It was 6 am when we started sailing to one of our pre-planned spots. Weather was fantastic, winds where blowing at 2 to 3 knts max. We had some time to take a power nap before reaching our destination. As the engine started toning down we all started gearing up and setting our buddy system. It was Ihab, myself, Ahmed & Ximo. Team Mazameer was almost complete. The boat anchored about 30m away from the spot which I will explain further on. We all slowly submerged into the blue & calm water that had no current at that time. Ihab started on with his new creation "Ramsis II" as it was as well; a testing trip for that outstanding gun. Time passes by with no luck, all of us in the water without one single opportunity. Ihab though was keen on firing several shots to test the performance. The viso was about 10m however the depth exceeded 40m on the fish finder. in a couple of occasions, we have sighted a school of Tuna & a couple humungous GT's that where far out of range. After some time with no luck we decided to move on & maybe the skipper would help uncover new interesting spots. We sailed along on that day & made 2 other stops that where poor to the extent of not sighting even one fish in the water. By afternoon we decided to take another chance on our first spot & we directly sailed back to it.

Back again into the blue. Now the water is even murkier & viso was about 5m only. Our spot was a structure that started on the 12m mark & then drops down to another good 25m. We where applying the same buddy system & decided to spread around the spot for any potential sightings. It was my turn to test the Ramses II. Ihab & myself teamed up at one edge of the spot & we made about 3 exploration dives & suddenly one of those large GT's swim by but was still out of range. Ihab decided to chase it down but the GT was too shy. About 20 minutes later Ihab drifted about 30m to my left, I popped my head out of the water to check his location. Returning the focus back into the blue, I see a school of 6 BIG FAT GT's passing by at about 12m. I was already relaxed so I took my breath from the toes & dived down slowly. The GT's started diving as well crossing the 12m mark & I was at about 7m & moving down as well.

The GT's where diving diagonally from the right hand side while they pass me at ease... so relaxed & fearing nothing. The first 3 get out of range, another 2 decided to show me how big where their tails & swam away. Finally the last GT was following but for some reason it decided to take a closer look at me I took my time while its coming face to face at about 4m from the shaft tip. I exactly aimed at its head, a little bit behind the eye. Many thoughts where rushing into my mind especially losing the gun I fired my shot, the shaft hits the exact targeted area & the GT & gun disappear to the deep dark blue water. I can only see my float line while swimming up to the surface & my 11 liter float is about 3m below surface.

I call out for team help to come in & look into the water to see the float and hear noises down there which where like th GT hitting the shaft onto the rocks to get it loose. After 10 minutes & lots of help from the team we managed to bring that 25kg boy on board featured in (exhibit 1) By that time I have decided to halt all my spear fishing activities for the day and enjoy my hunt (exhibit 2) & evaluating the whole dive & the post war casualties (exhibit 3).

The team went back again after celebrating the big hunt for more action with the Ramsis II & guess what they got ? ........ (exhibit 4)

After all it wasn't just not a bad day; it was a day to record in our team's spear fishing history. Thanks Ihab for the great work on Ramsis II & your organization to this great trip, the gun is super. Thanx for Team Mazameer for the day & specially Ximo for the great photography.

Fantastic fishing Gentlemen!!! i wish i was out there with you....I lost a similar fish last year when I was out with Ihab and ximo, I only had a 90cm omer and the shaft barely went through the fish and ultimately i lost it...I think I actually made a post about it here...Im glad that Ramses stood to trhe test and we have the proof! Excellent!
