Hi Guys,

I have already asked this in several forums and decided to buy however, I would love to hear your opinion about this lycra rash-guard with loading pad. It looks like a good bargain with the warranty and all but the question is, does anyone here have experience with this kind of shirt?

Thanks.

no, but its a great idea..in the summer i also dive with a rash guard (from MAres) and i have to put on a seperate loading pad..the one you show, seems great..

Hi hbenlulu

I bought this lycra rash guard with loading pad (the green camo) a few weeks ago and it's a great buy.
The lycra is not like the cheap china-made materials I used to buy before, if not for the loading pad it's a shirt you can easily wear when going out at night.
Is sits tight, the loading pad is a great addition, the camo pattern is good for my diving area - I say thumbs up for this rash guard

Marwan, which Mares Rash Guard do you have?

I am also thinking of buying a Mares Rash guard from diveinn I love the design + it comes with a hood. I hope it works well for south florida waters.

Hi
As rash guard is used in warm water, what is the advantage of the hood?
I'm relatively new to spearfishing, always thought the hood is another mean of keeping warm.
Am I missing something?

To be honest I'm not quite sure? Perhaps it's an extra feature that some would appreciate and some wouldn't. I guess people with wetsuits can make a better transition from their wetsuits to the rash guards & vise versa.

Personally, I would have to try it first to give a personal opinion. But when I first downed my wetsuit my head felt weird underwater but got used to it very quick and I prefer having a hood then not having 1.

Hi Marwan,

Thanks for the input. I think I will order it today.

Hi All,

I just got my new lycra rash guard from Spear-Sub. I must tell you all: It is, by far, my best purchase this year. The lycra fills best quality and the loading pad is why I bought this shirt from the first place.

This item gets my strongest recommendation.

Thanks for all you inputs.
