I'm interested in buying the Suunto Vyper, however i don't know if this will be a great watch for mainly freediving/spearfishing.

I know it has the alarm when your surfacing to fast, does anyone know if this can be disabled?

From any of you guys that have had one or own one, is it to large in your opinion for freediving and spearfishing?

Hi WiSe,

I moved Your post to a new thread, since it adresses an issue unrelated to the one it was posted in. This way You have much more chances for Your question to get answered.

Have You searched the forums for information on the vyper? There is lots of information and opinions about it alread posted.

good luck with the search

Hi Wise I have a vyper for scuba and sometimes bring it for freediving but the sample rate is quite slow. The watch has a gauge mode which just displays your depth and no other real info like duration of dive your surface time etc. its fine for scuba but I would not get one specifically for freediving/spearfishing. In gauge mode no alarms go off but it can tell you your maximum depth.

I agree with you men! You've absolutly right!
Hm, so you agree that it is not well suitable for freediving and that's why you are selling it (in your signature)? Do you need to get rid of it, or was it just a way to promote your store? If so, then it was probably not the best way, but welcome to DB anyway

Vyper is scubacomputer!

If u want good freediving computer, then look for Aeris F10v2, Beuchat Mundial Depth Gauge or Suunto D4/D4i (it have both scuba and freediving features)

Good luck!
