Hey! Lookin' good, crew. Got some weights on those babies?

my bigger cobia was 35 and the grouper went 13.

Looks like the grouper was in the process of eating his last supper - didn't get a chance to finish swallowing though! What kind of fish was he eating?

blue runner, also known as a hard tail. Lots of grouper embolize on the way up from depth. Good eye.

nice pics! I've never had cobia, how is it? Do you barbeque it? They look like hard fighters. Are they easily spooked?

all freediving.

They are very good eating. Grilled, seared, fried whatever. They are one of the most sought after gamefish in the gulf. You are right about being hard fighters. See the spines on the back of that one on the far left? They all have those. They are retractable and razor sharp. Many a wetsuit has been shredded by those!

Sweet catch man, i have been trying to get some good size ling (cobia) but only find the babies that are just too small, if you get a good head shot, do you have much of a problem getting back to the surface for a breath? Do you use reels or just standard shock line? How deep was that grouper? i can only find his lil brothers ...
