Hi,

I got long time ago a great pair of fins for SCUBA, Mares Avanti-tre. With the time, use and abuse their foot pocket got out of shape and loose. After learning a lesson on equipment maintenance from my Freediving instructor and feeling uncomfortable with them after a session of real use, i desided to buy a pair of freediving fins. Now that i have a new pair for training and don't need them on daily bases i want to recover their past glory.

What i'm planning to do is get the foot pocket keeper from my new ones and put them into the Avanti trying to get them a sort of shape mold. Then i'd immerse the fins in warm water for a long time, i think until the water get the enviroment temperature.

Have any one tried something like this? Do you think is a good idea? What else can i try to recover their past glory?.... :duh

Take Care,
Sigi....
