recovery time on a burst eardrum

Forgot my hat on a spearing expedition, last weekend and it resulted in a nasty earinfection,wich caused one of my eardrums to pop... Im worried that I'll be in dry dock for the rest of the season...
 
Probably best to speak to a real doctor then ask something like this on a public forum. No doubt there are people that could answer this question, but they wont be able to give you a full diagnosis like a doctor would, because they cant actually see you .
 
I know,got a doctors appointment to check up on me in a week's time,and went to her to get the antibiotics,but then my eardrums were still whole,haven't broken an eardrum since I was a kid,and I can't remember how long it took ro heal.
