I usually dive around 8m to 14m to hunt.
. Anyone with experience with any of those two brands polespear? im thinking of buying it for my phillipines trip since i cant bring my spearguns. what are pros vs cons?

I use polespears quite often and the Nomad Roller is my favorite. Both are quality products, rollers are much better for me, easier to load, use same bands as guns and have longer range (not that much, but enough to make a difference), at this movement I don't see a reason to go back to conventional. Nomad's pros: quality, durable, spare parts are easy to find; cons: handle could be more comfortable. You should also check Black Reef Co, I never shoot one but saw one in person last week and they are very impressive, I'll definitely get one for my next trip to the Bahamas.

Thanks for the reply. at this point ive already narrowed down to head hunter Nomad or Predator roller. what are you thoughts? have you tried the predator before?
seems like speed is good with the predator roller

The Predator is a nice polespear, much lighter, suitable for smaller fish, and not as durable as the Nomad. It's impressive how much even a 2-3lb fish can trash spears in general, that's why most of the new ones are all carbon.

do you think predator might break? or should i jsut do nomad? i do hunt in the reef. it syas it can take to 10 pound fish

I can't tell you if it's going to break, it's a quality product, as I mentioned the Nomad is my favorite for now but my next one will be a pure carbon one.
