Did a quick search but didn't find what I was looking for.
I want to set up/ attach my reel to my gun. never used one before.
basicly I'm ok, but my question is:
I have the clip to attach to the shooting line (mono) But do I need a swivel to attach the clip to the reel line?

I have the same clip as in the pic, but without the swivel.
Are they speargun specific swivels or can I use any decent swivel from the fishing store? What size / kind would it be?
If anyone has any info they they could share with me about setting the reel that would be great or any links with clear pics showing the how.
And lastly Bill Mcintyre Suggests the bowline to attach the reel to the swivel, what is the best option for someone like me with not much confidence with nots?
Sorry two more, just looking at the gun again it has an eyelet under the muzzle for the reel line. no way the clip and swivel is going through there.
Does this mean I should be rid of the mono shooting line alltogether and attach the reel line directly onto the spear? if so what not should I use there.
this is the silliest. When using a reel I guess it's not necesarry to use the line release onthe side of the gun?
If it helps answer my noobie questions,
I have a marlin carbone with marlin reel.
Thanks for your help. Still to cold to get in the water here without a wetsuit, mine new one should be here soon. I'm iching to try this gun, got it at the start of winter. Waiting waiting waiting.
