Haven't tried it in water, but took it in my hands, and its huge and heavy for an "euro" reel.

I know nothing about the mundial reel, but if weight is an issue, I just got a Rob Allen 70 stainless steel reel and it weighs just 6.25 ounces on my electronic kitchen scale, which is pretty damn light for a reel of that size. They also sell a 50 model, which should be even lighter.

Here is what it looks like. Of course it may not be suitable for mounting on the gun that you have in mind, but I just wanted to mention it as a very light reel option.

I have the beuchat reel and I've used, the one I have locks up and is heavy, ended taking off my yokooji gun, I will probably replace it with a omer match 50.
The RA reel is great (I bought based on Bill's advice), I have one as well, but may be too heavy for your average euro gun. I like the imersion reels they are very cheap, durable and light.

no one cant beat that price reel looks simple and easy to clean from sand
how is it with the beuchat reel did it collect dirt easily or is it easy to keep in condition ?
i am not shooting fishes over maybe 10 kg
but i am going to norway in august and im thinking to use reel there

I've bought a used yokooji gun with the beuchat reel on it, I went fishing once with it, when I notice the locking problem, I kept it pretty clean. Prior to that the gun was being used in Hawaii. Probably fishing in mid water, I can't don't have any information about it. When I've remove the reel, I've notice the weight. The locking problem and the weight were the only issues I've notice (locking it is bad problem in my opinion)

About the imersion reel, you need the drill the barrel, make sure to get some barrel plugs, if you decide to installed it. The only issue with the imersion it is low volume, I think one can only fit 20 meters of 3 mm line in it.

The other reel that I like is the omer universal, the same issue, low volume, but you would not need to drill the barrel.

Also light and I never have locking issues with it.

thank you ;omer universal looks good! it is near barrel looks manouvarable
how does it feel in strong current?

Petex

It feels good in current, it is almost as compact as the imersion reel, it also "tangle free", since the entire reel is enclosed, the only question is the barrel width, since I don't have a beuchat gun, I can't say for sure that it will fit. It does fit the sporasub backviper (after sanding a portion of the barrel rail)
