While we're asking forum questions, I had a couple as well:
1) how do I change my avatar?
2) now that I've replied to a few threads I'm also 'subscribed' to all of them, and so some days have received quite a few e-mails. Is it possible to 'unsubscribe', or change my subscription options?
And Matt: I think rep power is something that other people give you. See near your post number, there is a little icon that looks like the scales of justice. When you mouse over it it says 'add to <name>'s reputation', so if you see a topic that you find very helpful, I assume that you can click that, and it will give the person rep points.
You and I are just too new to have gotten any yet

And try "User CP" up the top there for your avatar and subscriptions.

Thanks troll, yes all setting can be found by entering your "user cp" in fact a lot of folk set there browser to open on their user cp as this allows you to see if anyone has answered your post.
You guys can receive rep (again viewable in your cp) but you need to make 25 post before the system becomes active.

A cool DVD would be a really nice price, such as the upcoming Greater Meaning of Water film.
Oh and I confess, I do fancy getting a lot of rep points too, especially when I put a lot of effort in making useful, constructive and challenging posts. So you can keep on firing away, I'm nearly running 1:2 post/rep, LOL :friday
