I do freediving and spearing, started this summer really in Brighton and went to dive with my dad in france. The spearing in Brighton can be quite good, although it's far too cold at the moment. What diving have you done before?

I only do spearfishing and I am only training on it. I am obsessed with it. How often do you dive? I have not brought any equipment with me apart from my mask and my carbon fins, in order to train in the pool. Do you think we could go and fish somewhere? I will buy a gun and a suit if so!

Check out the Sussex thread on Deeper Blue; quite a few guys spearing in and around Brighton, the pier the marina etc. etc.

Well i'm not talking to you, i've still not forgiven you for '86. Hand of God.... sheeesh :martial

Where have you moved from? At the moment the spearing and fishing isn't good due ot the poor weather a choppy sea. I haven't been diving since the summer but I went quite a lot when I was in Brighton. Got my gun at the end of the holidays but haven't had the chance to use it, it's only a little thing. I think the west pier in Brighton is pretty good to spear on, lots of fish milling around the metal but I haven't seen any thing that big there. It's not very deep but I reckon going further out on the pier would give some nice fish. A guy I know has managed to get some nice bass and even lobster there though. Maybe if the weather clears up and it's not too cold a Brighton trip should be arranged. I've been limited to pool training at the moment, i's such bad weather.

yeah man i know what you are talking about. I come from Greece; different seas, different fish..I miss it a lot. i m doing my master's at brighton uni, in eastbourne. a trip to brighton would be great.just let me know when so i can be prepared with the equipment needed.

Oh lovely! What are you studing? Well the water doesn't look at all great at the moment but i'll let you know when it looks good to go. Being the winter that could be a week or a month :)

Oh right, that's an interesting degree, first i've ever heard of it :) Do you have a facebook or myspace account? I've had a look at the weather forcasts and we've going to get hit my a lot of high pressure, which should calm the seas a good amount although it will also get colder.

Sober and up really early? What's wrong with you Pastor?!?! Hahaha I'm sure Maradona can tell you but yes it's like physiotheripy.

Thank God for that! For a minute there I thought it might have had something to do with executive relief rofl

I must admit the first image that came to my mind was someone trying to figure out an Ikea handbook after realising you have two parts which don't seem to go anywhere... I could imagine some sort of therapy would be needed after that. roflroflrofl
