we just got our new wetsuit from Elios,
it's a reversible with smooth skin and neoprene with a velcro type beaver tail.

it's all great except when I wear it other side where the beaver tail velcro will be on the outside and the velcro will be creating some fiction on the neoprene of my pant.

I know before they used a ring hold and a toggle to hold the tail.

not sure if it's normal to use the velcro type as I've never try before.
anyone have this, or have you done any modify to yours?

I am glad you posted this. Have ordered the same wetsuit from Elios and nothing was mentioned about the beavertail closure. Assumed it would be the toggle and ring, so I will check with them about my order now. Perhaps because the wetsuit is reversible it makes it difficult to use the toggle on both sides of the suit? In my experience with velcro closures for wetsuits they don't stand up over time and it does affect the nylon lining.

yes,

please check, now they suggest me to send back the jacket to change back to the toggle type on the beaver tail which is more reasonable for reversible suit.

as state by Elios velcro type is thinner and more suitable for the 1.5mm suit.

I think you better double check with them too.

Waiting to hear back from them. I am in New Zealand so really don't want to have to send it all the way back to Italy if I can help it! My suit is 5mm so they may use the metal fastening on thicker neoprene, but wise that I ask anyway. Thanks for sharing this info jpma.

Fortunately they have put the metal closure on my suit - glad I checked! Its on it's way to me and should be here next week. Am very excited!!!!
