I dive off the rocky shores of Palos Verdes California which is maybe 7 miles south of Los Angeles Airport
my gear gets destroyed going in and out of the water from rocks and heavy waves coming in...sometimes have to deal with 8-10 foot swells down there.....I duck dive it so its all good but occasionally get hammered with a unsuspecting wave...so my gear gets thrown over the rocks....

I have a cheap Cressi speargun that I added a Rhino/Linex Liner like coating (its Duplicolor Bed Armor spray) on the barrel...
I tried and it works great! I taped off all the lever and areas where the shaft sits so it does not interfere with shooting....

heres the pictures!

Anybody else try this or do something similar?
