Next Club Meeting


We will be holding our second meeting on Monday, May 17th @ 7pm. Please arrive early so you can order your food before the meeting starts. We have a special speaker, Richard Balta of Team Omer, who will speak on So Cal spearfishing techniques. He will also hold a Q&A session. Feel free to bring your family and friends - you will not want to miss this meeting. Club membership will also be available at the meeting so sign up and bring people who might be interested. You do not need to be a member, come hang out and maybe even learn something. Here are some cool pics of his fish!

The meeting was a success! Richard Balta was very informative and even stayed well after the meeting was over for one on on Q&A. Brandon Whalers and MacIntyres' protege Austin Derry were also present, both were very friendly and offered me good information and tips on finding WSB. It was also nice to finally meet Don Paul face to face, and i would like to thank him for coming and sharing his wisdom, as well as bringing the Air Balete...sorry Nitro Balete.

That's funny to think of Austin as my protege. I guess I did give him his start on my boat 5 years ago at age 15, but now he is a Fathomier and has moved on. I'd call him more like Balta's protege now.

Thanks for the invite Kyle! I'm literally 20 minutes from Costa Mesa man.
Congrats either way on the OCSpearos' maiden meeting...sounds like you had a good turnout with some solid talent.

Trying to plan an outing here this Saturday, let me know what your schedule is looking like. I have T-Ball at 3:30 so early morning is looking good for me.
