Hello I need some help deciding wish gun to buy for my second gun, I had a JBL 38 special and it serve me good for a while but imp at the point that I need something better.

So I narrowed my search to this 2 guns, The new Riffe Euro Gun, or the Excalibur 3000, 110cm I know they are different one is Wood the other is Carbon, im planning to use it in Baja Mexico where the water is very clear and I would use it for reef hunting and also I would like to try blue water hunting.

i think they will both be good for reef hunting, personally i prefer omer and other euros like cressi etc...(just personal preference), im not the expert on blue water, but i think that for blue water 120 would be a better starting point, maybe you could also consider some of the bigger riffes like the hawaiian or no ka oi mid handles, since they have more power upgrade options ( i know that the price range is different)

IMO the comparison is unfair for both guns. Light though it may be, the Riffe is still a wooden gun made for more powerful band-shaft configurations than the Omer gun. The latter though is an astonishing gun for Med conditions which demand super fast and sniper accurate shots from guns made for agility of movement (not that the Riffe isn't accurate as many dive-buddies of mine swear by this gun's accuracy).
Being a Med spearo myself I drool over the Omer Excalibur 3000 but if I ever had the opportunity of diving in your area the Riffe would be my weapon of choice.

Thanks very much, i probaly wont buy it until next year anyways beacuse im out of the country till January, but i will keep reasearching, i will probably buy both ;)
