Riffe Euro gun

Well rumours have abounded for months now and finally its been launched at DEMA. Its not up on the website yet but I'm really looking forward to hearing more about it, aparrantly it has a magnetic rail to ease the loading COOL!!
Now lets hope at last we will get some more dealers in Europe selling Riffe gear

Well, in here cyprus i use different length of the guns even for different different regions conditions and bottom structures. So i expect to see Americans use different guns compared to europe due to their different conditions. If i would be in america and shooting huge fishes in blue water i would not mind if the gun shoots 1cm high or low. But if the name of the game is accuracy and european style speargun i think they should leave that to European manufacturers. To be honnest its good to see Americans to manufacture different style of speargun but they should just not to call them "european" style it sounds very odd. I guess they think that it should be good for marketing issue to use known terms "euro speargun" rofl

Hey Alison, no I sure have not and I don't intend to do so any time soon. As a competitor of Riffe's even if I had it wouldn't be fair for me to comment on it or project my biases, however the Chrysler analogy Shaca said was so darn funny I couldn't resist a good chuckle.

Really It will be good to see that, they mentioned that it will have a magnetic rail, maybe they have plans to freeshafting with it.

But for sure, they will sell a lot of them, because they are Made in USA and Riffe is a big name for a lot of American spearos who love them.
They do not want to see the light

They always say we have huge fishes so we need Huge guns, but everyday there are more and more OMERs, Rob Allens, Spettons, Rabitechs and custom made euro style guns.

I think the idea is to reflect the style of the gun, not suggest or confuse american vs european. Similarly the RA guns are called "euro" guns, but not originating in Europe.

And Aimrite tube guns are known as Hawaiian rail guns, but I think a lot of us still think of them, as well as Rob Allens, as Euro guns in a generic sense. They are built like Euro guns rather than American tree trunks.

As long as the gun does the job, and requires minimal maintanence I don't care whether it looks like the wicked witch of the east or Heidi Klum.

Having said that, I would rather compare Riffe's to a Toyota or a Honda sedan; they are not the prettiest, the fastest, or the most expensive over-priced cars on the road but they will keep on delivering and hauling big game as long as you keep the bands on. You can't make mistake buying a Honda or Toyota in the US, either.

I have not tried the Euro woods, yet. I have plans, I just hope that they are not really Ferrari's or Maserati's; too fragile and expensive for the value they add, plus need a $10000 oil change after each lap...
