Hello guys.

Its summer here and i dive quite frequently sometimes up to 3 times a week and spent couple of days in pool to for static and dynamic.

I wonder if i start weight training and cardio will it effect my apnea performance negatively? should i wait one more month and start weight training/cardio when the season finished? Since i will do my military service at the end of the year, i want to start training little earlier, so this one month period will make a difference. :hmm

Personally I find that it does effect, especially heavy aerobic training (which for me is alot of jogging). However, it is not that dramatic...But to get that final edge I usually stop all other exrecise at least a few weeks before a competition etc. But I also feel it important to keep in shape, I just take breaks when nearing an important event and continue after it.

But for recreational diving or just basic training, I don't mind mixing the two...

Let's say may "peak static" is around 7:00 - 7:15. On a workout period, I can still manage 6:30 reliably, hardly makes a difference in recreational diving...

well i am in spearing not at level of competiton freediving. Currently hunting between 15-28 meters without too much effort. Should i start training or waiting for the untill the end of the season?
