Buddy Eduardo and I went out last Saturday, probably the last dive with Austral summer conditions. Seas were calm. Water warm (24°C) and clear down to 15 m. Below that was murkier and slightly colder. But fish were at that level. We went to some special spots and isolated reefs off Rio de Janeiro because there were divers everywhere due to Easter holidays.

After 5 hours we managed around 20 kg of fish, mostly comb grouper (smallest 1 kg. largest one 12 lb.), but also a small gag, a small dusky, a mutton snapper and a white trevally. Sorry, no photos. Hunting was deep (between 16 and 20 m) but comfortable anyway.

Why last summer conditions diving? The first Fall big cold front moved in this morning, seas are 3 m high, and air temps lowered to 18°C now (6PM). It's pouring outside and winds blowing at 20 knots.
